An early 19th century American Southern silver tablespoon, Natchez, Mississippi circa 1830 by Thomas Chester Coit (1 Nov 1791 - 28 Feb 1841)

Fiddle pattern, engraved to the terminal with an initial P in flourished cursive script. Marked to the reverse T.C.COIT.

Length – 23.9 cm / 9.35 inches

Weight – 72 grams / 2.31 ozt

Thomas Chester Coit worked in Connecticut beginning in 1812, and then worked in Natchez, Mississippi from 1826 until 1835.
