A Victorian sterling silver coffee pot, Sheffield 1872 by White, Henderson and Co
Of tapering shaped ogee form with beaded rims, the curved tubular spout opposite a C scroll handle fitted with ivory insulators. The hinged flat lid surmounted by a detachable worked ivory finial. The body with an engraved vacant shield shape cartouche to one side, the other with initials T&IH in cypher each surmounted by a rosette with crossed palm branches below. Otherwise with a rosette and acanthus leaf border to the top and bottom. Fully marked to the side and with lion passant to the lid.
