A George III sterling silver nutmeg grater, London circa 1780 by Samuel Meriton II (reg. 8^th May 1775)

Of barrel form, screw thread lid to reveal a pull out ferrous grating plate. Flat chased decoration of C scrolls and foliage. Marked to inside of lid and base with maker’s mark only.
