A pair of Alexander II mid-19th century Russian 84 zolotnik and niello covered beakers, Moscow 1850 by ee possibly for Yefrem Yevdokimov
Each of tapering cylindrical form upon stepped circular feet, the double domed pull off covers surmounted by detachable lobed pyriform finials. The body and lids with nielloed scroll work arabesques against textured grounds. Gilt interiors. Each marked to the underside and to interior of lid with full marks for assay master Andrei Antonovich Kovalsky (active 1822-56), additional standard mark to the rims. Later French control marks to the body, lid bezel and finials. (2)
