Three letters signed by prominent members of the Rothschild family, comprising: Baron Lionel (autograph letter signed as L' de Rothschild to Mr Hudson, reading in part "I do not relinquish the hope of visiting te Industrial School in which you feel so deeply interested but the warm weather, which is such a blessing to the world, is I am sorry to say my personal enemy, and while it lasts I am obliged to keep as quiet as possible and to attend merely to the fulfilment of absolute duty, to which a borderland of mere pleasure must not be added", three pages, folding marks, small 4to, 148 Piccadilly, 7 June 1874); his sons Nathaniel Mayer (autograph letter to an unknown recipient, saying "I shall look forward to your company on Sunday, you can be sure your friends in Petticoat Lane will give you a great welcome", two pages, 4to, New Court, 20 January, ca 1884) and Leopold (autograph letter to Sir Richard Burbidge, Managing Director of Harrods, two pages, filing holes, rust clear of text, 4to, Gunnersbury Park, 8 October 1914).
