A COPPER AND SILVER-INLAID DISH
India, late 19th - early 20th century
Of octagonal shape, designed as an eight-pointed star, with an everted rim, the body decorated with copper and silver inlay in the shape of two regardant makaras amidst scrolling sprays of foliage and stylised rosettes, the rim's borders with pairs of Lucknowi fishes facing each other, the back plain, 23.3cm diam.
