Each square-cut aquamarine suspending an articulated pendant of geometric design, set with a step-cut aquamarine and oval-cut aquamarines, the whole pierced and set throughout with old brilliant-cut diamonds, terminating in a similarly-set tassel, post fitting, diamonds approximately 1.50 carats total, signed Cartier London, length 3.8cm, possibly adapted
By repute, these earrings have belonged to Mary Booker, whose love story with Richard Hillary has been written by Michael Burn, her husband in a book titled 'Mary And Richard. The Story Of Richard And Hillary And Mary Booker'
