Opaque pigments heightened with gold on wasli paper, the vertical portrait depicting a close-up to a Jaipuri princess, with seductive hazelnut fish eyes, long black hair, fair skin, on her forehead the tripundra associated with the cult of the god Shiva, her necklace, earring and nose ring heavily encrusted suggesting a high position in the social ladder, the recto with various black ink annotations in Devanagari script, 19.6cm x 15.2cm.
