Roosevelt (Eleanor)

Typed letter signed ('Eleanor Roosevelt') to Miss Jones, saying "Many thanks for returning the cup which I found at the hotel. Miss Thompson and I were sorry not to see you but we look forward to seeing you in the fall", one page, folding marks, some creasing, Val-Kill Cottage, Hyde Park, 29 Mary 1951.

PROVENANCE: the recipient of the letter was the vendor's aunt, who used to work as a secretary to the Roosevelts when they were in England and remained in touch with Eleanor afterwards.
