Opaque pigments heightened with gold on paper, the vertical composition built with two registers of separate manuscript illustrations, the lower illustration possibly extracted from a Qiṣaṣ al-anbiyāʼ (‘Stories of the Prophets’) and depicting the story of Zacchaeus climbing onto a tree to see Jesus passing by (Luke 19:4), the upper illustration with two trees with pointy oval leaves, birds resting in the middle of the leaves, both illustrations pasted onto thicker later cardboard and set within orange, black and blue rules, the recto with later notes in pen, 21.6cm x 14cm.
