A mid-20^th century Iraqi silver cigarette case, dated 1947 signed Dayil

Of rectangular form with chamfered sides, the front with an engraved scene of the Abu Hanifa al in Nu'man, Baghdad, a mudif, a dhow sailing boat and palm trees. The reverse with the Taq Kasra (Ruins of Ctesiphon). The interior with an engraved inscription reading “Neville Rosendale R.A.F Habbaniya, Sep 1947”. Signed to the reverse.
