Collection of numerous photographs covering family events at Hothorpe, ‘Raglay’ East Sooke- Vancouver Island BC’, Hooke Park, the Hamble River – with images of Mr Sopwith’s ‘Water plane’ , Netley and Beaulieu Abbeys, and other locations.
Photographs of training camps with various regiments at Malvern and Bolton Park, Yorkshire (WW1)
Images from the War hospitals at Clopton – Stratford on Avon, Grange Military Hospital – Chertsey, and Fairlawn Military Hospitals showing soldiers and nurses together with pages of signatures of convalescing soldiers and short descripts of their wounds – many having been gassed at Ypres.
Along with sketches and other tipped-in pieces, manuscript poems from officers (1918). An Tls from Princess Louis – Kensington Palace to Lady Victoris (de Trafford), etc. original half leather, initialed in gilt to upper cover ‘ V de T’ [Victoria de Trafford], slightly worn, oblong folio, [1912 – 1919]
