Ottoman Turkey, late 19th - early 20th century
Of hexagonal shape, resting on straight bracket feet, the leg panels carved with cusped arches in the middle and square panels with mother-of-pearl inlays in the style of chess boards, the tabletop carved with a six-pointed star surrounded by other stars and vegetal motifs, a calligraphic roundel in the centre, the edges decorated with a geometric fretwork band of triangular motifs, 47cm high and 33cm wide (tabletop).
