Arabic manuscript on paper, 105ff., each folio with 9ll. of black ink kitabat naskh, markers and chapter headings in red ink, a number of charts and graphs, catchwords, end papers, possibly written in Egypt, dated 1239 AH (1823) and signed Ahmad al Masri bin Sheikh Muhammad al Masri of the Shafi'i faith and Qadiri order, in stamped red morocco leather flapped binding, the folio 10cm x 7.5cm; and an incomplete Qur’an, from Sura al-Baqarah (2), v. 258, to Sura al-Mursilat (77), v. 15, 181ff., each folio with 19ll. of fine black ink naskh script, with red diacritics, gold verse markers, chapter headings and marginal notes in red ink, catchwords, within gold and black rules, in stamped brown and red morocco leather binding, the text panel 13.5cm x 7.8cm, the folio 18cm x 11.5cm.
