TWO COBALT BLUE AND TURQUOISE POTTERY BORDER TILES
PROPERTY FROM A PRIVATE LONDON COLLECTION
Iznik, Ottoman Turkey, 17th century
Each of rectangular shape, underglaze painted in cobalt blue and turquoise on white ground, with a row of rosette stems springing from flowerheads, contained in alternating cusped and lobed palmette outlines, 25.9cm x 13cm and 26.3cm x 13.4cm.
Provenance: Previously part of a Private Collection based in London and formed between the 1970s and 1980s.
