Iran, 18th - 19th century

Comprising a double-edged wavy steel blade, with gold-damascened decoration consisting of a large lobed vegetal arabesque medallion and vegetal sprays on each side, the hilt missing, 29.5cm long including the hilt stud; and a small single-edged steel fruit dagger, the handle and forte with lush gold-inlaid vegetal and floral sprays, 21cm long.
