Artist Description:
Dieter Huber produces computer-generated art and photographic work. Using various artistic techniques, he explores issues of social relevance and themes of manipulation, genetic engineering and pleasure. The Klones series reflect on modern science’s leaps in cloning living organisms (aka Dolly the sheep) and the medical and ethical discussions raised. Whilst an incredible advancement for science and humanities’ capabilities, does the identical reduplication of individuals not put an end to individuality?
