Opaque pigments heightened with gold on paper, the vertical composition portraying the Hindu God Krishna in his Shri Nathji's form depicted standing in a temple niche against a bright orange ground, richly adorned with floral garlands, several strands of pearls with encrusted gilt medallions, and a large pearl as nose ring, wearing a turban embellished with a peacock's feather and a bejewelled turban ornament (sarpeech), the composition set within silver and white rules and bright red borders, an Indian numeral '17' at the top in black ink, mounted, glazed and framed, 23cm x 15cm excluding the frame.
