An early 20th century silver spice box, Iraqi or Persian circa 1910
Modelled after an Ilkanid casket, rectangular form with four bracket feet, the chamfered hinged lid with two side chains. The base section with flat chased foliate patterns, the lid with Persian style chasing of tow nightingales with flowers, edged with foliate scrolls. Unmarked.
