TWO INDIAN BRASS HUQQA BASES
India, late 18th - 19th century
Comprising a bell-shaped huqqa base, resting on three raised crescent-shaped feet, possibly added later, with a cylindrical neck both ringed and faceted, engraved with petal and floral motifs, lotus scrolling tendrils and fretwork bands, 22cm high; and a plain pyriform huqqa base, with compressed rounded body and a tall flared neck, ringed and faceted as well, 25cm high.
