Of typical shape, with a long straight neck and a small drop-shaped body, the frets tied to the neck all the way to the bottom of the body, inlaid with mother-of-pearl tesserae in the shape of vegetal scrolls on the neck and of a zig-zag fretwork band around the edges of the body, the neck longer than the classical Turkish oud to produce microtonal intervals used in different maqamat (musical modes), mounted on a metal stand, 132.5cm high excluding the stand.
