EIGHT COBALT BLUE AND COPPER LUSTRE-PAINTED POTTERY TILES
Iran, 17th - 18th century
Comprising eight diamond-shaped sections of an octagonal architectural pottery tile, each section painted in copper lustre with abstract vegetal decorations and glazed in deep cobalt blue, set in an octagonal wooden tray, each section 8.5cm x 6.5cm, the group 22cm diam.
