An early 20th century Chinese silver export silver twin handled tray, Canton or Shanghai circa 1910

Of oval form with an embossed decorative border of Chinese dragons chasing the pearl of wisdom, each side with a vacant cartouche. The twin handles with rockery style decoration. The field with a vacant central oval with ‘Greek key’ border, reserved with an engraved scene of crane in wetland, Iris flowers and long silver grass. Raised on four cast dragon head and scroll bracket feet. Character mark to base.
