An early Victorian sterling silver snuff box, Birmingham 1837 by Gervase Wheeler
Of lobed rectangular form, the sides with chased scrolling decoration. The hinged lid with engine turned decoration with a rectangular cartouche inscribed “Presented to Mr WR Clarke by a few of his friends as a token of their esteem. Belfast 10th December 1838”. Gilt interior. Fully and part-marked.
