An early 20th century Chinese unmarked silver inkstand, Shanghai or Canton circa 1920
The base of rectangular form with a pen recess, the inkwell of rhomboidal form with hinged circular lid. The ink section with embossed decoration of peonies against a matted ground, the base with open work sides of scrolls and chased flower heads. Together with a matching pen holder with decorated ensuite.
