AN IZNIK-STYLE CANTAGALLI POTTERY VASE

Of pyriform shape, resting on a short circular foot, rising to a long and slim tapering neck with a small flaring mouth, painted in cobalt blue, green, and red with black outlines against a white ground, decorated with typical Iznik-inspired floral designs featuring cusped arabesque-like cartouches filled with rosette and tulip stems to the body and neck, interspersed by stylised fretwork bands around the rim, shoulder, and foot, the underside of the base stamped with the maker's mark, a rooster, and the reference of the location Firenze Italy in cobalt blue, 27.5cm.
