A PIERCED MULTAN POTTERY TRAY
Pakistan, Southern Punjab, 20th century
Of circular shape, resting on a flat pierced base, the lobed everted rim painted in two shades of blue with stylised leaves beneath flat arches, the Jali screen-inspired openwork designed around hexagonal motifs radiating from a central hexagon, each containing a moulded six-petalled blue and white flower, 34cm diam. and 4cm high.
