A VICTORIAN SAMPLER BY ALICE DOVE, aged 12,
comprising the alphabet with vignettes of a cat and kittens, with others of a jester, a cockerel, and various floral sprays worked in coloured wools, framed and glazed, 63 x 71cm
The canvas is in good condition, with some areas of staining and stretch marks due to the embroidered sections.
The colouring of the wool appears to be good.
