A mixed group of three early 20th century Iraqi silver and niello salts, Basra and Baghdad circa 1930
One of compressed circular form upon a spreading circular foot, the sides nielloed with a scene of the Abu Hanifa al in Nu'man, Baghdad, sailing boats and a sailing boats and a boatman in a gufa, signed Dakheel. Another of hemispherical form upon three short ball feet, niello scenes of the shrine of Imam Musa Ibn Ja'afar in the city of Al-Kadhimiya, a sheep, a pair of hunters in a boat shooting at a boar, and two sailors in a dhow boat, possibly signed Omara, Abed Al Ghani. Another of similar form, niello with ships, camels and a boatman in a gufa, signed Mathkoor. (3)
