Gorilla Fight. He awoke the next Morning and found Himself Famous!!, [Hartley 1173], four engraved plates, upper printed wrapper panel only, 3 plates and wrapper detached, significant chipping and short tears, within later quarter cloth binding and modern half morocco gilt box, bookplate of Charles C. Auchincloss, 210 x 270mm, T. McLean, [n.d., c.1860].

***Issued as a reaction against a brutal forty-two round prize fight between Tom Sayers and John Heenan. In America, the New York Clipper observed: "'Whate'er we do, where'er we be,' fight, fight, fight is the topic that engrosses all attention".
