An early 20th century Iranian (Persian) unmarked silver and champlevé enamel twin handled sugar bowl and cover, Isfahan or Rasht circa 1920-30
Late Qajar, early Pahlavi dynasty, of octagonal panelled form upon a circular base with cavetto underside. Applied shaped handles and a pull-off domed lid surmounted by a reeded ovoid finial. The body and lid with chased monbatt kuri decoration of arabesque scrolls alternating with foliage, each with champlevé polychrome enamel, the handles and finial also heightened with enamel. The underside edged with a rosette band before a stamp work decorative band.
