Opaque pigments and ink on paper, comprising a vertical standing portrait of a young Qajar official, wearing a tall black Astrakhan fur kaj kolah hat and a bright yellow coat over orange pantaloons, smoking a typical Persian qalyan (water pipe), and a Qajar maiden playing the drum, wearing a tall conical termeh hat, each ca. 17.5cm x 11.2cm.
