A late 19th / early 20th century Burmese unmarked silver bowl, Mandalay, circa 1900 by a ‘beast’ maker

Of circular form with rounded base, embossed decoration of a continuous scene of figures in traditional dress, some within arches, others against trees against a stippled ‘wallpaper’ background, all above a band of leaf lunettes and trailing foliage above. The underside with makers sigil.

Diameter – 17.7 cm / 7 inches

Weight – 692 grams / 22.48 ozt
