*** Lissitsky’s master work on Russian Revolutionary architecture. El Lissitzky was one of the visionaries of the Russian Avant-Garde. Lithuanian-born Lazar Markovich Lissitzky became a revolutionary figure in the Jewish arts revival in Vitebsk. He and Chagall were close colleagues until Lissitzky converted to Malevich and Suprematism. He introduced a new visual vocabulary for creating modern abstract art with basic shapes and minimal colour.
