A 19th century Spanish silver tankard, probably circa 1880, stamped L’Anduiza Bilbao, also stamped with French import mark Of cylindrical form, with bellied lower body, decorated with ornate bands of geometrical, foliate and vine motifs, the larger central band with vacant shields surrounded with foliate scrolls on a matted ground, the hinged lid with foliate finial, the foliate handle terminating in a mask, raised on a ropetwist foot with a beaded edge, with gilt interior. Height – 38 cm/14.9 inches Weight – 3321 grams/106.7 ozt
