A mid-18th century German silver box, Danzig (Polish, Gdańsk) circa 1760
Of oval cylindrical form with a pull off lid. The lid embossed with a scene of a shepherd with a dog leading a lady our of the forest, the sides with bouquets of fruit and lambrequins, heightened with prick work decoration. Gilt interior. Marked underneath with town mark, incuse D, WP over 85 and an assay scrap.
