BROWNING CAL.30 M1919 A6 MACHINE GUN TRAINING MODEL, a scarce, all-metal and double-life-size training model of a BROWNING model 1919 A6 machine gun, made for the U.S. National Guard, developed and procured by the Office of Naval Research Special Devices Centre. circa 1930s.
Notes: These training models were manufactured to enable a group of trainee soldiers to be instructed in the working operation of the gun, its moving parts, disassembly and re-assembly, cleaning, and maintenance methods. Comprising all the same moving parts of the actual weapon, this double-life-size non-firing training model is accurate in all respects.
