Ming Dynasty, six character Jiajing mark and probably of the period.
Painted to the concave centre with a roundel containing four cranes in flight among scrolling clouds enclosed within plain bands, the cavetto with six blossom roundels, the exterior with similar floral balls, 30.5cm diameter.
