The cushion-shaped sapphire, weighing 13.82 carats, between cylindrical shoulders set with single-cut diamonds, to round sapphire cabochons terminals, ring size O, weight 7.2grs
A verbal result was obtained from GCS stating that the sapphire is of Sri lankan origin, with no indications of heating.
By repute this ring has been purchased late 1920's/early 1930's as an engagement ring by a British Army soldier stationed in India.
