PORTRAITS OF GENTLEMAN, c.1840s, two early ninth-plate portrait daguerreotypes, one example in an elaborate and decorative oversized Beard Patentee mount, and the other in a plain Beard Patentee mount, each housed in red leather Wharton cases with lower hinges and domed lids, the larger of the two with some condition issues to the plate and case.
