An early 20^th century French 950 standard silver gilt table snuff box, Paris circa 1910 by Janvier Quercia (1899-1936)

Of rounded form with a hinged domed lid and a stand-away hinge, cast and applied decoration of garlands against an engine turned ground. The lid with a medallion of a young girl’s head with tied ribbon, signed Le Castelois. Marked to each, the base with maker’s mark JQ and an oak leaf.
