RADHA AND KRISHNA SEATED ON A TERRACE

Opaque pigments heightened with gold on paper, the vertical composition depicting a moment of intimacy and tenderness between Radha and her beloved Krishna, both seated on a terrace under a gem-studded palanquin, clad in fiery colours, a testament to their burning desire and passion for each other, the stylisation of their facial features reminiscent of Kishangarh paintings, a river scene and fortified city red wall with white palatial complexes in the background, 22cm x 17cm.
