A mid- 20th century German sterling silver four-piece tea and coffee service on tray, Schwäbisch Gmund circa 1960 by Gayer and Krauss (est. 1919)
Comprising a teapot, a coffee pot, a milk jug, a covered twin handled sugar bowl and a twin handled tray. Each of baluster form raised upon four scroll feet with foliate scroll junctions. The pots with rocaille C scroll handles fitted with celluloid insulators pinned to scroll junctions. The hinged domed lid surmounted by rocaille C scroll finials. Each with a decorative C scroll and flower head rim. The tray of oval form with rocaille loop twin handles, a decorative C scroll and flower head rim en suite. The milk jug and sugar bowl with gilt interior. Each marked underneath 925, sterling, crown and crescent and maker’s mark (5)
