A HARRODS PET KINGDOM FIGURAL MASCOT, in the form of a seated dalmatian, bearing a flag inscribed 'Pet Kingdom' and with a crown atop its head, fixed upon a white pedestal base.

One of a pair formerly standing at the entrance to the Harrods Pet Kingdom.

Opened in 1917, the Pet Kingdom gained international renown for what is now considered the cruel practice of selling wild and exotic animals. This came to an end after the introduction of the 1976 Endangered Species Act, after which point it continued to sell more conventional domestic pets until its closure in 2014.
