Persian manuscript on gold-sprinkled wove paper, 170ff. plus one fly leaf, each folio with 12ll. of black ink nasta’liq script arranged in two columns, the takhallos (signature) featured in double lines in a central cartouche flanked by schematic illumination, the frontispiece with a faded majlis poetry recital, the opening folio with gold and polychrome illumination, the opening bifolio text in gold cloudbands, within blue, gold, and red rules, catchwords, with Ottoman library stamps, signed Ghavam Shirazi, marbled end papers, in tooled brown morocco binding, the spine stamped HAFIZ. DALOK PERSA KEZIRAT XVI. SZAZAD (Hafez Sonnets, Persian manuscript, 16th century in Hungarian), the text panel 13.2cm x 7cm, the folio 19cm x 11.2cm.
