AN INDIAN STEEL MACE
India, late 19th century
Of typical shape, with a tubular shaft, the central part of the shaft wrapped in cotton cloth, the head of the mace featuring six crenelated flanges, stylised geometric and vegetal decorations inlaid on the shaft and grouped in vertical bands, mounted on a metal stand, 63.5cm high excluding the stand.
