An early 18^th century German silver counter dish or cup stand, Augsburg 1716-19 by Elias Adam (master 1704 died 1745)

Of circular form with gadrooned rim, the centre with an applied concentric fluted boss, the broad edge with flat chased decoration of strapwork and foliate scrolls, against a textured ground. Marked to reverse with maker mark (EA in an oval), town mark and assay scrape.
