A Nicholas II early 20th century Russian 84 zolotnik silver gilt cloisonné enamel kvosh, Moscow post-1908 by Vasily Semenov Agafonov (active 1895-1917)
Of conventional oval form, wire work decoration of rosettes and foliage infilled with six colours of enamel; white, light blue, royal blue, cerulean, forest green, foiled back red, all against a textured ground with white pelleted bands. Marked underneath with maker’s mark BA, kokoshink and secondary kokoshnik.
