A late 17th century German silver tumbler, Augsburg circa 1690 probably by Phillipp Küsel (d. 1700)
Of circular form with rounded base with indented centre. The body with textured “snakeskin” decoration below a plain band edged with incised concentric lines. Marked underneath with makers mark, town mark (Rosenberg 191), and assay scrape, additionally later struck twice with Russian import mark for Saint Petersburg 1775.
