SUPREMATISM, RUSSIA: A Soviet porcelain propaganda plate, attributed to the the Imperial Porcelain factory, circular with scalloped rim, decorated with colourful abstract design after Malevich, the underside with green underglaze Nicolas II imperial porcelain factory mark dated 1904, and state porcelain factory mark of hammer, sickle and cog, dated 1922 with pattern number '474' and Russian inscription “Suprematism, after Kazimir Malevich' all in black overglaze.
